Valves & Fittings

System Overview

Isolation, balancing, draining and connecting - the small parts that decide whether a loop can be serviced without draining the whole row. HDmann supplies the stainless valve and fitting package for the secondary circuit in one delivery, matched to the same pressure class as the CDU and the manifold.
The range covers wafer and lug butterfly valves, full port ball valves, Y-strainers, check valves, flexible couplings and the elbows, tees, reducers and adaptors needed to build the header. All wetted parts are 316 stainless with EPDM or PTFE seats, rated PN16 for a 1.6 MPa loop.
Packages are kitted per loop with a line list, so the site team receives one box per circuit instead of chasing individual items.

Values above are typical ranges. Final selection is confirmed against the project datasheet, flow rate, coolant and rack layout before order.

Serviceable Without Draining

Isolation valves at the CDU outlet, at each rack manifold and at each branch let a single rack come out of service with the rest of the row still running.

Matched Pressure Class

Valves, fittings and hose couplings are all selected for PN16. Mixing a PN10 valve into a 1.6 MPa loop is a common and expensive site error, usually discovered during the pressure test.

Clean and Dry

Valves are supplied degreased and capped. Residual oil from machining is a contaminant in a liquid cooling loop and will show up as fouling on the cold plate within weeks.

Application Notes

Provide a drain valve at the lowest point of each circuit and an air vent at the highest point. A loop that cannot be vented will trap air in the manifold, and the first server will run hot with no obvious alarm. Use full port ball valves on the strainer bypass so the bypass does not become the restriction.
